New Pen Day: Ooly Splendid in Purple from Staples

My husband and I were looking around for stationery at Staples, and of course we had to hit the clearance wall. He pulled this purple Ooly Splendid from the piles of stuff, to my delight. The only colors of these I've been able to find so far in stores are pink and black. Not only did I get the color I wanted, I didn't even pay full price for it.

I've been experimenting with refilling these with bottled ink. My black one doesn't appear to like Noodler's X-feather too much, so I may need to try something wetter. Diamine is lubricated, so I may give that a try. I've yet to encounter a pen that doesn't feed their inks well.
